On March 26, Blacks Power FC and Young Elephants FC drew 1–1 in a friendly match in Nwoya district.
The first half was action-packed, with Young Elephants taking the lead before Andrew Ogwal equalised for the visitors.
It was a set piece goal, thanks to an excellent assist from Otim Daniel.
Surprisingly, the match was cut short to only 50 minutes instead of the recommended 90. Each half lasted just 25 minutes.
So, why 50 minutes? The decision was made in response to Blacks Power FC’s delayed arrival due to the long and windy route from Kamdini-Gulu-Olwiyo to Anaka, Nwoya.
Despite the reduced playing time, Blacks Power FC appeared to gain momentum near the end, outperforming the home team.
This friendly match was a good warm-up for both teams, as Blacks Power will play Kataka FC away in the Fufa Big League on March 30, 2025.
On April 6, Blacks Power FC will host Karo- Kalungi in Lira City.
On May 11, they host Onduparaka FC with two more fixtures in April against Kigezi Home Boyz (April 13, Away) and Kiyinda Boys (April 20, Home).
