Lira City will host its first boda boda festival on Saturday, with the main event taking place at the Lira Town College playgrounds.
The festival is expected to attract hundreds of boda boda riders affiliated with LUMBA.
The commercial riders will use the day to hand over the instrument of office to their new patron, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng Ocero.
Dr. Aceng, the Lira City woman MP and minister of health, will be accompanied by top politicians and government officials.
Annet Amita Among, Speaker of Parliament, and Gen Kahinda Ottafire, Minister of Internal Affairs, are expected to attend.
