Amolatar| The district chairperson for Amolatar has announced that the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife, and Antiquities has officially designated the Dokolo-Namasale road as a priority for improvement.
Geoffrey Ocen confirmed this during Wednesday’s press conference at the district headquarters.
This publication was unable to verify this development from the cited ministry, but efforts are being made to contact the responsible person, once again.
Ocen also expressed his disapproval of proposals to relocate the center of Uganda from Olyaka in Namasale to Nakasongola district.
Regarding the state of the roads, he mentioned that flooding has affected many people in Amolatar, complicating maintenance efforts.
During the same press conference a companied by some members of his cabinet, Ocen highlighted several accomplishments from his three-year tenure, as well as the difficulties he has faced, including political conflicts.

He thanked the Resident District Commissioner, Rwotlonyo; Dr. Agnes Atim Apea, Woman MP; and Kyoga County MP Junior Moses Okot Bitek for their support.
Ocen, also known as Kiring, said the support recognizes their positive contributions to the district’s development.
In terms of the education, Ocen reported an increase in funding compared to the previous year.
