Amolatar | Despite the rights granted to women by the world, Amolatar district woman MP Agness Atim Apea (PhD) has urged women to respect men as it was originally written in the Bible.
She was speaking on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at a belated Women’s Day celebration held in the playground of Awelo Adwala Primary School.
MP Apea urged women to work hard for the development of their families.
She also asked them to send their children to school regardless of their gender.
“I want to thank the district for organizing a belated celebration that brings us together as women to share our ideas and options. I want to advise my fellow women to respect their husbands as we raise our families and send our children to school.”
Apea donated shs1,000,000 as the guest of honor for the roofing of the Adwala Primary School girls’ dormitories.
At the same event, approximately 20 women were recognized with certificates for their contributions to the development and growth of the Amolatar district.

Meanwhile, Geoffery Ocen Kiring, Amolatar’s LC5 chairperson, urged women to form groups to take advantage of government programs such as PDM and UWEP.

He also praised women for their efforts, recognizing both the educated and uneducated.
“I am not ashamed to praise Amolatar women who are doing great to put Amolatar on the map,” Kiring said, citing the district’s recent primary leaving examination results, in which female-led schools performed best.
“I am grateful for the efforts of uneducated women who run businesses. Let us do more than what we are doing now,” the LC5 chairman added.
The theme was “Accelerating Gender Equality through Women’s Economic Empowerment.”
