Lira City pupil wins math contest for 2022

Lira – October 12, 2022: A pupil from Adyel primary school in Lira City has won the Mathematics Contest for 2022.

Ayo Nelson, a pupil of primary seven was declared winner of the regional contest for Northern Uganda.

The contest was organized by the Ministry of Education and Sports in partnership with the umbrella body, Uganda Mathematics Society.

The contest was organized under the theme of “Mathematics the Epitome of Livelihood.”

Isaac Otoa, the Headmaster of Adyel Boarding Primary School said the school has waived the pupil from paying fees of shilling 200,000 to encourage him to work harder.

“Such a pupil is prideful because of the accolade he got from the contest he won,” he added.

Otoa said the school is waiting to show the accolade to the parents during a meeting.
