Rustlers kill two in Agago 

Agago is becoming insecure as more locals are being killed, and traders are forced to close shops by 8 pm.

Agago – Sept. 8, 2022: Suspected armed robbers have killed two people in Abilinino, Lira-katoo in Agago district. TND News understands the crime took place on Wednesday, September 7, at around 7:30 pm.

Okullu John, an eyewitness who is also the area councillor reported that John Oleya, a teacher of Abilinino primary school in Lira –Katoo sub-county had gone to buy some items when he was shot and died instantly.

He adds that Justine Ojara, the shop owner made his last breath on his way to the Kalongo Hospital.

Awor Susan, another person who was at the scene of the crime, said she saw two men who came driving in a Prado and immediately after entering the shop “fired bullets and shot two people and disappeared.”

By press time nobody could tell the amount of money or items stolen. Police arrived at the scene but no suspects were arrested.

The Wednesday wrongdoing brings to a total of 6 cases related to gun robbers attacking different areas in Agago district.

In recent weeks and days, Adilang sub-county, Lokole town council, Corner Abicel, Lokole sub-county, and Patongo town council registered cases.

Over the past month, the Agago RDC Emmanuel Okot passed several security warnings to the public and criminals. His warning, against the vice, continues to be flouted.
