Lira – March 1, 2022: Wakiso Giant striker has been voted best player of February in the Lango Sports Press Association (LSPA) Awards.
Moses Aliro defeated Acheng Jillian of Ndejje University Volleyball Club (women), Acire John Paul of Blacks Power FC, Herbart Acaye of KCC FC, among others.
The Wakiso Giant player was recognized for his fine performances in the Uganda Premier League and the Uganda Cup, respectively.
Aliro played three league games in February and netted two goals against Gadafi FC. His side won one and lost two matches in the same month.
Wakiso Giant are 7th on the log with 27 points.
Aliro was also in the squad as Wakiso Giant won Kyetume 5-2 in the Uganda Cup.
He will be awarded on March 9, as communicated by Yona Omara who is one of the organisers of the Lango Sports Press Association.
Aliro has described winning the player of the month award as “a motivating factor” for players and encouraged fellow sportsmen and women to work hard next time.
