Op-ed: The foolery of NRM cadres on the proposed Constitutional amendment

Otto on NRM cadres’ proposal: “It is time for Ugandans to act in solidarity and stop these hoodlums other than wasting time and energy to debate their conspiracies….”

Loro, Oyam – January 10, 2022: The gambling by some NRM cadres who lost in the last elections is not strange.

The debate started is to justify a reason for them to steal money from public coffers using Museveni’s selfish interests.

The public should give this new group leeway to get their share from stolen public funds meant to promote the life project of Museveni.

It is now public knowledge that to get free taxpayers money from Museveni you must identify a project tied around his interest and get your pay.

This is not the first time individuals from “NRA/NRM Cartel Club” are organizing themselves to get free public money and state privileges by pushing Museveni’s interests.

The previous conspiracies to amend the 1995 Constitution to promote interest for life Presidency was one of the most lucrative ventures in Uganda.

This project started from the return to multiparty dispensation through a Referendum in 2005, where billions of shillings were shared among the cartels of that time.

It was followed by the removal of the term limit, earning now Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah and the group free money and titles in government. Evelyn Anite’s “sole candidature project” and Raphael Magezi’s “Age limit project” followed, respectively.

All these schemes are aimed at consolidating the Museveni’s dynasty of life Presidency. These projects are followed with huge rewards of stolen public money and political positions at the expense of the suffering of the ordinary citizens of Uganda.

Therefore, since the majority of Ugandans have proven to be too imprudent and fearful to confront any rot and conspiracy from the Bachwezi dynasty lawbreakers, they will continue to loot public money with impunity.

The 1995 Constitution has become an NRA/NRM chamber pot tissue that is plucked and used without any kindness.

The regime is now running a cartel system headed by Mr Museveni and close cronies.

Therefore, I urge all other Ugandans who cannot stop these cliques from carrying forward with their cartel schemes to ignore debating this new scheme. We should concentrate on civic actions targeting any form of conspiracy against Ugandans by these cadres.

It is time for Ugandans to act in solidarity and stop these hoodlums other than wasting time and energy to debate their conspiracies against Ugandans through amending the Constitution on how a president should be elected.

The Museveni’s NRA/NRM group does not listen to any kind of sense. Ugandans must learn to ignore and pursue these despicable creatures!
