Lira – 19, December 2021: Lira City Council Footbal Club (LCC FC) will play its third match on Monday, 20 December 2021 against Heroes FC in the Stanbic Uganda Cup 2021-2022.
The game will be played at the LeeAger’s Rhino Park, Lango college playground, Lira City West Division.
On Friday, LCC FC beat Bata Town Council FC 3:1 to extend their fine form. In their opening fixture played more than 10 days ago, the former beat Amuka Bright Stars FC 3:0.
They have now scored 6 goals, conceding only one. In the most recent match, Okello Emmanuel, Odongo Brian and Ogwal Oscar both scored. Bata Town Council pulled one back through a spot kick.
Other matches to be played tomorrow include Northern Elephants vs Kalongo United, 3pm (Kitgum Boma Ground), Super Eagles vs Obasanjo, 3pm (Layibi College) and SC Tawai vs Akore Black Stars, 3pm (Owiny Manachi).
Important to know
If LCC FC qualifies for the round of 64, it will be the first time a 5th Division club from Northern Uganda to make it to that stage. The winner in tomorrow’s game will qualify for the round of 64.
Injury
No injury concern. All players are fit. Three [3] players who did not play on Friday are in the camp and in contention for Monday: Alal Julius, Amot Ambrose and Oluka Desmond.
