Agago – 2, November 2021: More than 60 football young stars have been summoned for a residential training in preparation for their participation in Chipkizi in Tanzania. The tournament is scheduled for December 2021.

The young footballers reported to the training camp on Tuesday 2, November. Bishop Flynn in Pader district will host them.

Both young footballers and technical team will spend one and half month before leaving for the tournament commencing on 14, December.

Joel Otema is Chief Executive Officer, Paorinher soccer academy. He confirmed on Sunday evening that the academy will travel to Tanzania for the tournament with three teams: U11s, U13s and U18s with each category having a 18 man squad.

The selected players are from districts in Achoil and Lango; majority are from Agago district as reported by Joel Otema.

Francis Omara is the head coach. He told TND Sports of some challenges during the preparation. “Inadequate training kits: few training ball and others.” He urged well-wishers to come up and support the team.

Omara explained that if they reach semifinals which will be played in group stages then it’s going to open ways for the young boys to proceed to another level.

This is the yet the first time that the local based young football academy from Agago is going to play in the tournament at its 9th edition.
