Kampala – 2, November 2021: Recently, what many now described as “a propaganda story” went viral on different social media sites.
The said story revealed how President Museveni has started investigating the deputy speaker of the 11th Parliament, Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among.
The story further claimed that Anita asked for bribes from Roko Construction company, and tycoon Sudhir whose multi billion house – Kingdom Kampala is hired to house some MPs due to limited spaces at Parliament.
Roko is currently constructing the new Parliament building.
The same story further claimed that the deputy speaker asked for such bribes using Museveni as a conduit.
Now, on Tuesday, the Bukedea district Woman MP, Among responded to the claims against her.
“Honourable members of Parliament I appreciate your support but in leadership, if you react in an emotional way to everything you won’t go far, as we speak now, the culprits of my black mail attempt are known and nothing will intimidate me. I am number five for ten years,” she said.

With Anita revealing that she is in charge for more ten years after end of her term as deputy speaker, NRM party could be interested in ruling for more than five decades.
Her projection could also be revealing that the ruling party has developed a formula to deny opposition from taking both deputy speaker and speaker’s offices from 2026 going forward.
