LPG Decided: Alyek to be deputized by Okot

Lira – 20, August 2021: Lango Parliamentary Group (LPG) is a body that brings together Members of Parliament from Lango sub-region.

After some concerns from the public on what could have caused delay to elect new leaders, on Friday 20 August 2021, the MPs sat down and elected new executives.

Judith Alyek is the Kole District Woman MP. She has been elected the group’s chairperson. She succeeds Betty Amongi Ongom who is the Oyam South MP, and Gender Minister.

Alyek got 19 votes, beating Otuke County MP, Paul Omara who got 11 votes.

General Secretary: Hon. Dr Samuel Opio Acuti, Kole North

Treasurer: Hon. Acon Julius Bua, Otuke East
