Three Amuru and one Lira contacts test positive for Covid-19

Northern I Kampala—4, June 2020: Uganda’s coronavirus total cases have reached 522 as of Wednesday, 3 June.

Announcing Wednesday’s Covid-19 results on Thursday morning, the Ministry of Health confirmed 15 new virus cases.

“Four are truck drivers who arrived from Tanzania via Mutukula, two are truck drivers from Busia and nine are among alerts and contacts to previously confirmed cases,” the Ministry said, via Twitter.

It also added that the nine cases from contacts and alerts are: 3 from Amuru, 2 from Kyotera, 1 from Buikwe, 1 from Nakaseke, 1 from Lira and 1 from Kampala districts.

All the 33 positive foreign truck drivers were handed over to their country of origin, the Health Ministry added

There are now 82 recoveries with no Covid-19 related death.
