Eulogy By Willy Chowoo
Gulu—27, June 2020: It is saddening and heart-breaking to hear the demise of our best and own medical officer at Gulu University, Dr Morris Ocitti.
Dr Ocitti passed on this morning from Gulu Independent Hospital, where he was rushed in the night after he was attacked by asthma.
Two days ago, we were together as OBs of Layibi in the name of Onono James Ojok, Eng. Tito Okello Lutwa, me and him, but in the dawn you hear you are not there.
You picked my phone number after losing it and never called me again.
Dr Ocitti is a person i grew with, we studied at the same primary school at Pupwonya primary, while I was at Holy Rosary primary school, he was St. Joe, and we met again at Layibi College.
From Gulu University, while he was at the Faculty of Medicine pursing his degree in Human Medicine and Surgery, i was at Faculty of Science doing Computer Science. Our dreams to put Pupwonya in the world map is no more bro!
It is a big loss to us, the people of Attiak (Pawiro). We struggled together to bring lives back at our former school – Pupwonya P7, and cannot forget your motivational speeches during regular visits to the school.
