ASUL – The conference was convened at All Saints University Lango [ASUL] under the theme: “Roles of Media, Stakeholders in Development and Prosperity.”
In his acknowledgement-speech a day after, Milton Emmy Akwam, the Chief Convener says many efforts are designed to transform the media in the sub-region and region in order to bring development and public trust in the media.
Mr Akwam added that many journalists will be retrained, their capacities enhanced to carryout productive journalism.
Guest of Honour was the State Minister for Northern Uganda, Honourable Grace Freedom Kwiyucwiny.
In her speech, the Guest of Honour says media must report
objectively and only developmental issues, adding that media when properly, can
propel development.
“This conference is a good one and I would love to see all
media houses talking about it,” she said.
