A fuso lorry registration number UAU 206Y – white and blue in colour which was being driven by one Wokorach Phillip, 35, a resident of Pandwong division, East Ward ‘B’, Kitgum Municipality lost control and over turned leading to the injury of 35 people.
The vehicle was carrying market vendors, it happened day at around 18:30pm at Ayul round-about in Kitgum town.
Jimmy Patrick Okema, the Aswa regional Police spokesperson confirmed the incident, saying the “driver has been arrested and the motor vehicle is parked at Kitgum Police station”.
Okema added that two people were confirmed dead today (Thursday) and the rest are still getting medical attention at Kitgum government hospital.
