Pope Francis asks global Lawmakers to pray, pass family friendly policies

“Families under threat,” the Head of the Roman Church says in his Homily to global MPs last year

Pope Francis has called on members of parliament from across the world to pray for family friendly policies.

Last year, while receiving an award, recipient of the holy family defendant in Italy, Rome,MP Akello Lucy who’s the Amuru district woman MP asked Pope Francis to pray for families.

Then, while hosting team of global Parliamentarians, Pope Francis stresses that families have become under immense target by unfriendly policies and communities.

According to MP Akello, Pope Francis noted that MPs should pass only policies that protect, make and not break families.

The Uganda Parliament in December last year finished two months prayer for the holy family unit and the prayers.

This year, it has been moved to Zambia and Australia and it will be concluded in Portugal.
