Ebola kills one in Lira

One person has died at Lira Regional Referral Hospital on Friday after presenting signs of Ebola.

“Movements have been restricted at the emergency unit, doctors have also cordoned off the ward and the ambulance that brought the patient from Amolatar district is being disinfected,” TND News Uganda’s Frank Oyugi reports.

The driver and the attendants have been detained for close monitoring.

However, no official comments has come out from the Doctors nor the hospital; administrator.

But a nurse, speaking on condition of anonymity said the patient died of Ebola -like symptoms.
