Briefly: One under police custody for murder

Police in Amuru district has arrested a man identified as Ayela Geoffrey on allegation of murder.

Ayela was picked up by police following the death of Ayella David Okee, a resident of Bwonga-labwo village, Parubanga parish in Pabo sub-county.

The deceased was found lifeless at mission cell village, Layik ward in Pabo Town council on Thursday.

Jimmy Patrick Okema – the Aswa region police spokesman told our reporter that Ayela Geoffrey was found with metallic items full of blood stain. Okema also adds that blood stain was also found at his door side which led to his arrest.

The suspect has been charged with murder vide SD 07/22/08/2018 at Pabo police outpost as postmortem’s report was expected by end of Thursday and later burial.

Okema condemned the incident; saying that whoever will be found guilty will face the courts of Law.

In a related incident, unidentified body was discovered lifeless on Wednesday along Olinga road within Kal Oguru village, Pabo sub-county in Amuru.

The body of that deceased was brought by police to Gulu regional referral hospital mortuary for postmortem as its case was registered under SD 09/22/08/2018.
