President Museveni is set to commission All Saints Church- Olwal this Saturday. NRM legislator representing Persons with Disabilities (PWDs-Northern) William Nokrach constructed the Church.
Political analysts suggest that present Museveni’s decision to travel to Amuru district to commission the Church is a well-calculated move to introduce to the voters of Kilak South, Nokrach as the NRM ideal candidate come the next parliamentary elections in 2021 or 2023 depending on the pending Court of Appeal judgment.
Nokrach is an outstanding NRM member in the district currently led by opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) members.
According to sources, preparations by NRM are under way to reclaim leadership in Amuru district and therefore, Nokrach being one of the high-ranking NRM leaders in Amuru district is set to replace Gilbert Olanya, the Kilak South MP.
The NRM youth under their umbrella- Amuru Youth Coalition for NRM have since last week been engaged in preparation activities like mopping the Maternity ward, slashing the compound and giving soap to the patients of Olwal health centre.
Assistant in charge of Olwal Health Centre III, Odok Peter appreciated the initiative of the youth in helping to clean the facility.
Odok said the health facility was in dire need for community support in teams of charitable work since the health centre lacks support staff.
Nokrach told TND News Uganda that his decision to construct the church was a way of contributing spiritually to the community.
