NUP leader, Bob Wine has called for the immediate release of all Ugandans under detention for they have done “nothing whatsoever”.
He added… “my home is surrounded by the police and military! Soldiers are back to the streets. This is how the dictator plans to swear himself in.”
In recent months, and very tense during his campaigns ahead of January 2021 disputed elections, Bobi Wine as commonly called faced several security attacks and brutality across the country.
“Strongly criticises Uganda’s harsh laws against homosexuality and calls for their urgent revision, together with a strategy to combat discrimination and violence against LGBTQ+ people,” EU Parliament.
The National Unity Platform (NUP) party president, Mr Kyagulanyi, through his lawyers, wants the Supreme Court to annul Gen. Museveni’s victory.
This act further demonstrates Hon. Kyagulanyi’s good intentions to uphold democratic principles; rule of law, freedom of the press, freedom of association and public debate, as well as free and fair election processes.
Uganda Police spokesperson Mr Fred Enaga said: “We will respect Court orders but we will continue to monitor him (Bobi Wine)”.
