Musician King Saha has touched the hearts of many Ugandans after pledging to complete the house construction project that was left unfinished by the late comedian Kapere Lufotose.

King Saha made the promise while attending a memorial gathering held at the National Unity Platform (NUP) headquarters in Makerere-Kavule, where friends, supporters and fellow entertainers gathered to remember the fallen comedian.

During the gathering, the musician revealed that he had previously planned to support Kapere by performing at a fundraising concert without charging any money. The event was intended to help the comedian raise funds to complete his house.

Unfortunately, Kapere passed away before the fundraising plan could be carried out, leaving the project unfinished. His death brought sadness to many people who knew him and followed his work in Uganda’s comedy industry.

Despite the disappointment of losing his friend, King Saha has decided not to abandon the dream they had discussed. He pledged to take responsibility for ensuring that the house project is completed.

The musician also extended the promise to Kapere’s widow, assuring her that he would help bring the construction project to its intended conclusion. His commitment has been viewed as a meaningful way of supporting the family during a difficult period.

Following the announcement, several Ugandans praised King Saha for remembering his friend and choosing to support the family even after his death. Many described the gesture as a sign of genuine friendship, kindness and solidarity.

Kapere’s unfinished house project has now become a reminder of the friendship he shared with those around him. King Saha’s pledge has also given his family renewed hope that the dream of completing the home will not end with his passing.
