Lira City | A tense domestic and property dispute in Lira City took a dramatic turn on Friday, 14 November 2025, when Odongo Alfred Reagan, the ex-husband of Pamela Auma Odongo, allegedly removed her belongings from their jointly-owned home.

Odongo did so without his ex-wife’s consent, despite an active court case and an existing caveat barring any dealings on the property.

Speaking to tndNews, a distressed Pamela Auma Odongo said she was shocked to learn that household items were being forcibly removed from the premises in her absence.

“I sent police there and they refused to open the gate,” she said, adding that law enforcement officers are now following up on the incident.

Photos shared with tndNews confirm the presence of a police vehicle inside the compound, reportedly dispatched to restrain Odongo Alfred Reagan from forcefully taking property from the home before the courts render a decision.

liraHowever, despite police presence, access to the house remained restricted.

Auma has strongly cautioned the general public that the property is currently under litigation, with both parties contesting ownership and control.

Official records and photographs of the jointly owned land titles between her and Odongo have also been shared as evidence.

liraThere is also an active caveat lodged on the title, legally preventing any transfer, sale, or rental of the property until the court process is fully concluded.

Residents, brokers and prospective buyers or tenants are formally warned: “The said property is NOT for sale,” Auma said. “Any transaction related to this home is illegal and void.”

Anyone attempting to buy, rent, or broker the property risks legal consequences, as per the legal documentation.

Auma has appealed to the community to remain vigilant and avoid being misled into transacting on a property whose ownership is yet to be determined by the court.

“This matter is before the court. No one has the authority to sell, lease, rent or evict anyone from the house until the case is disposed of,” she emphasised.

Police are expected to issue a formal statement after completing their inquiries.

Meanwhile, the court process is ongoing and the property remains protected under the caveat until a final ruling is made.

In June 2025, Auma told this same publication that “over the years, Mr. Odongo and I toiled together to acquire property in Uganda: land, a marital home and other investments.”

“These were jointly acquired, and some bear both our names on official titles. Yet today, I find myself being falsely accused and publicly humiliated.”

On Saturday and Sunday, Odongo could not be reached for comments on his known numbers.
