Oyam PLE stars join S1 under “Hon. Acilo sponsorship scheme”

On Monday, February 24, Jane Frances Acilo’s campaign team handed over two students who excelled in PLE in 2024 to the headmaster of Standard High School Zzana, Ndejje Campus, Bombo.

Laba Ivan attended Alworo Pii primary school in Minakulu sub-county and scored 11 aggregates in the 2024 PLE.

Masawa Adija attended Obot primary school in Acaba sub-county and received 11 aggregates. Adija and Ivan have enrolled at Bombo Standard High School.

The sponsorship program for Jane Frances Acilo has five students.

Ogwal Naboth who sat from Anyeke primary school and attained 8. He is in Light Vocational Amuca. Akao Bonita Otoo and Akao Bridget Okech all attended Minakulu Primary School and received 10 aggregates each.

Akao Bridget Okech has been admitted to St Julian Schools Gayaza, and Akao Bonita Otoo is enrolled at St Joseph Girls Nsambya in Kampala.

Acilo provided metallic boxes and mattresses to all 37 pupils who attended Oyam government schools and achieved first grade before sending them off to their different schools.

Turamye Serejio, headmaster of Standard High School Zzana, Ndejje Campus, expresses gratitude to Jane Acilo for placing her trust in them.

He asked leaders to emulate what Acilo, who has yet to be elected to active leadership, is already doing.

Serejio stated that they will ensure that those children maintain their academic, musical, dance, and drama performance standards, as well as games and sports.

Okori Jane is the Welfare and Education Officer for “Team Jane Frances Acilo”. She represented the principal.

She thanked parents and teachers for their help in producing a good PLE performance.

“Jane will sponsor these children from S1 to S6,” she said.

Akullu Janet, a single mother, stated, “There was no hope for my child to attend secondary school. I want to thank Jane Acilo.”
