Aluminium saucepans as MP Linda Auma’s power brand with the electorate

Saucepans

Linda Agnes Auma, the Lira district woman MP, has donated over 1,786 aluminium saucepans to Lira district households.

The community in Ogur sub-county, Erute North, reacted positively to MP Auma’s donation of the aluminium saucepans.

On September 14, 2024, over 1,786 households from 14 villages in two parishes (Apoka and Awala) smiled as they received the saucepans.

These saucepans were distributed to the recipients at Ogur Primary School.

“The reason I am donating aluminium saucepans to my people is that during the 2021 election, my symbol was a pot. I aim to reach all sub-counties within Lira district with this initiative of distributing aluminium saucepans to my voters.

“I want them to remember me every day while using those saucepans,” Auma said.

She stated that as a leader, she encourages her constituents to focus on various businesses that can generate income for their families in order to avoid despair.

MP Auma encouraged them to meditate on Proverbs 31:1 and beyond.

Auma said she had put over 60 million shillings into the project to make aluminium saucepans, and she asked the recipients not to sell them because they would be useful for running their homes.

She claimed that some people entering politics today are motivated by personal agendas rather than community interests.

The distribution of aluminium saucepans began in Agali sub-county, with four parishes already benefiting, followed by Itek sub-county. Auma intends to travel from Ogur to the sub-counties of Amuch and Agweng.

Bonny Omara, the Vice Chairperson of the Lira District, thanked MP Auma for her commendable efforts and encouraged other leaders to follow in her footsteps to foster community unity.

Hellen Amuge, a 49-year-old resident of Omono Anyira Gedo village, expressed gratitude to MP Auma after receiving the aluminium saucepan.

Amuge stated that they will remain loyal to their MP.

Sopia Acen, a 75-year-old from Tegweng village, thanked MP Auma for her contributions.

Another beneficiary, Jacinta Akelo, a 60-year-old resident of Amii Diki village, stated that when the mother is alive, a family can thrive significantly, similar to the situation in Lira district, where she believes God has sent her (Auma) to help His people.
