Bombo | On June 24, Col Dr. Ronald Nangamba, the outgoing Director of General Military Hospital Bombo, handed over his office to Col Dr. Norbert Kabugo.
The handover took place at Bombo’s Land Force Headquarters.
Maj Gen Dr. Ambrose Musinguzi, Joint Staff – Health Services, presided over the handover ceremony and praised Col. Dr. Nangamba for his leadership in developing the hospital.
He also encouraged Col Dr. Kabugo to form alliances with other medical institutions and upgrade the hospital’s facilities to reduce the need for patient referrals.
Col Dr. Nangamba thanked the UPDF leadership for their support during his tenure.
Col Dr. Kabugo promised to continue and expand his predecessor’s efforts to address the hospital’s various challenges.
Earlier, Maj Gen Dr. Musinguzi visited the hospital’s newly built and renovated departments, which included an oxygen plant, an intensive care unit.
He also took a tour of a central medical store, a children’s ward, a Bio-Medical Department, and other under-construction facilities.
