Amolatar | The operators of the MV Kyoga ferry have denied reports on social media that two MV Kyoga ferries will be down for up to three weeks.
Douglas Sebuhindi told tndNews Monday morning that the only ferry with a technical issue was MV Kyoga 2, and that technical teams were working to ensure its safety.
According to Sebuhindi, “it will be rectified soon.”
MV Kyoga ferry 1 is operational and departs four times per day from Namsale to Zengebe, he added.
Meanwhile, according to UNRA, the Masindi Port ferry will be closed from May 6 to May 26 to allow technical teams to perform planned maintenance.
This is to ensure the ferry’s safety and reliability.
UNRA also advised Masindi Port ferry users to seek alternative routes.
