Lira I As first reported by the Daily Monitor, 60 per cent of Uganda’s 23 million people in the age working group search for jobs through their friends and relatives, the publication quoted the National Labour Force Survey by the Uganda Bureau of Statistics.
In the same survey, Daily Monitor reported, 16 per cent of 23 million people search for jobs through newspaper job advertisements from potential recruiters – while 2 per cent aim to find jobs through brokers.
Uganda’s unemployment rate for 2022 was 4.28%, a 0.01% decline from 2021- according to Trading Economics.
