Fairview Hotel hosts wine & cheese pairing experience

Nairobi, Kenya – July 28, 2022: Fairview Hotel Nairobi, Upper Hill, hosted a wine and cheese pairing event which brought together corporate guests, influencers, and media.

The event was in partnership with Artist Kathy Katuti and Dion Wines and Spirits East Africa, allowing guests to discover, explore and have conversations about wine and art.

The General Manager of Fairview Hotel, Bruce Potter, noted, “At Fairview Hotel, we are the home of arts and wine. We are embracing and promoting Kenyan artists while exploring the best grapes from different regions of the world. These wine pairings are a great opportunity to enjoy fine wines and Kenyan art.”

The sommelier of the day, Dennis Mwangi, took guests through the different ways to pair the wines with cheese bringing out the perfect match while elevating the tasting experience. The guests evaluated each wine’s attributes, allowing them to appreciate the notes, flavors, and overall likeliness fully.

“Over the centuries and across cultures, wine has been a visual signifier of taste, class, art, and the divine. Wine has varied depictions that reveal its varying cultural significance.
