The chief administrative officer of Abim district, Paul Walakira said he is excited that the government has finally responded to the health situation.

Abim – February 14, 2022: Abim district has welcomed with excitement support from the Ministry of Health to the district health sector.
On February 11, 2022, Dr. Diana Atwine, the permanent secretary of the ministry of health in a tweet revealed that the government is putting up health center IIIs in Wilela parish, Magamaga sub-county, Arembwola in Abim sub-county, and Awach in Awach sub-county.
She also revealed that the ministry will improve Orwamuge, Nyakwae, and Morulem health center IIIs all in the current and next financial years.
In a phone interview with our reporter Sunday, the chief administrative officer of Abim district, Paul Walakira said he is excited that the government has finally responded to the health situation of Abim after writing to the ministry of health several times about the matter.
He added that the ministry has also secured shs4 billion from the central government to improve the status of Abim hospital, adding that the district is yet to receive that money.
Opio Seserino, the LC III Chairperson of Morulem sub-county where one of the health center IIIs is to be built, said that they welcome the development because it is a sign that government considers the health sector of Abim.
The above development will be implemented with funding from Italian Funds.
