ASUL graduation: ‘Imat Ocere’ delivers Salim Saleh’s shs10m, 2 tractors

Lira – 18, December 2021: All Saints University Lango (ASUL) on Friday passed out 395 students during their 9th graduation ceremony.

The graduation ceremony took place at their new campus on Boroboro road in Lira City West Division.

Among the 395 students that graduated from the Anglican Church funded private University on 17 December, 191 were females and 204 males. The grandaunds were awarded with certificates, diplomas and degrees, respectively.

The best performers were Innocent Okilla who graduated with Bachelor of business administration and management (BBAM), Jean Morris Opio; Diploma in public administration and management (DPAM), Brenda Akao, Certificate in business administration and management (CBAM) and Sharon Akio Akello, Certificate in business administration and management (CBAM).

Gen. Caleb Akandwanaho Salim Saleh, the national coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC) who had earlier been invited as Guest of Honor, delegated that role to the Amolatar District Woman MP, Dr. Agness Atim Apea.

“Today I represented CC @OWCUg Gen Salim Saleh Rtd. at the 9th Graduation of All Saints University Lango and delivered his contribution of 2 tractors and 10m to the only private university in Northern Uganda,” Dr. Agness Atim Apea, commonly known as “Imat Ocere” Tweeted.

In his message read by Imat Ocere, Salim said the shs10 million is to be invested in the developmental projects at the university and tractors are to help in promoting agriculture in the school.

Apea applauded parents for investing in their children’s education with the little they have. She also commended the university staff for the support given to the grandaunds that led to their success.

The ASUL’s Chairman Governing Council Francis Peter Ojede called upon each graduands to cherish and honor the sacrifices made by all those who supported them. “Go out with open mind and cause transformation in the community you leave in.”
