Kyegegwa, October 12, 2021: The ministry of health has resolved to improve the status of Mpara health center III in Kyegegwa district.

The ministry officials led by the permanent secretary, Dr. Diana Atwine had a support supervision visit to the district.

The team visited Mpara HC III, Karwenyi HC III and Kyegegwa General Hospital to assess the status of the facilities.

The hospital was recently upgraded to HC IV.

Mpara HC III replaced Kyegegwa as the referral HCIV but is constrained by congestion and inadequate infrastructural capacity

“The team resolved to construct a general ward, theatre and staff housing to address the overwhelming referrals from the lower facilities,” the ministry said on Tuesday.
