Lira—19, June 2020: More than 10 people, according to reports, have been rushed to Lira Regional Referral Hospital for treatment following a nasty road accident.
It occurred on Friday morning.
According to eyewitnesses, a truck registration number UAQ 527W lost control and rammed into several motorcycles, including people.
“Scores have sustained injuries, no fatalities yet,” Frank Oyugi reports.
The accident occurred on Obote Avenue (main street) in front of Lira main market.
By press time, traffic was already diverted. The accident scene and surrounding are now under the control of security forces.
The driver and one other occupant, according to eyewitnesses took off.
