Otuke man still at large after claim of murdering village-mate

Otuke – Adwari Police has registered a murder case reference CRB: 54/2019. This was after Otoo Tonny, 42, a resident of Agoba village, Olarokwon parish, Adwari sub-county in Otuke district reported the incident.

In his report to Police, Mr Otoo said Ebong Moses, 43, and a resident of Agoba village, Olarokwon parish, Adwari sub-county in Otuke district was murdered by Otim Jaspher aka Apati.

 According to ASP David Ongom Mudong, the North Kyoga regional police spokesperson, Police soon took action.

“Scene visited by D/Asp. Ayena Richard, Asp. Ebange and Dc. Ogwang SOCO [scene of crime officer] and a pair of sleeper and a black handkerchief recovered,” Mudong said, in his text on Friday afternoon.

The Police spokesperson added that the “suspect is still at large”.

According to Police, on the 07/11/2019 at 0730hrs, the body of Ebong Moses was found lying by the roadside by Amongi Dokas, 26.

The witness is a resident of Agoba village, Olarokwon parish, Adwari sub-county, Police say.

“She reported to Otim David the father of the deceased who immediately reported to the LC1. The LC 1 reported to police,” Mr Mudong reveals, adding: “The motive is not yet established. Inquiry still continues.”
