Dokolo
– A collection of 35 generous boozers in Adeknino
sub-county, Dokolo district on
Sunday donated over shillings one million during
a fundraising held at Acamogali Church of
Uganda in Apewoneki parish.
James Anyang Sembule, the boozers’ group chairperson said their aim is “to strengthen the faith of the drinkers and drive them closer to the Church.”
Anyang urged political, religious and cultural leaders to “equally treat those who booze too much as children of God.”
He said they are still willing to contribute funds for the construction of different Churches within Adeknino sub-county.

According to him, Churches that have so far benefited from their donation are; Komora C.O.U, Abwa C.O.U, Bataebwol C.O.U, Ajiba Chapel and Bar-olam Chapel, among others.
Moses Adoko, the catechist of Acamogali C.O.U thanked the group for supporting the Churches and asked them to “come to God for good.”
This is the first time in history of northern Uganda where boozers offer to Churches.
Even when the donation is made, and pledge made, there is no imminent news of any of them converting to God almost immediately.
