Boy, 18, drowns in water, dies

Omoro – An 18 year old boy only identified as only Ojok has been found dead after drowning in a stream.

The incident happened in Arwot-omiya village, Omoro town council in Omoro district on Tuesday afternoon.

His body was found hovering in water on Wednesday evening by some area residents [witnesses].

According to witnesses, Ojok who was a resident of Cwero village in Awac sub-county in Gulu district was staying together with his relatives in Omoro town council.

His father, Tonny Kinyera says his son left home on Tuesday afternoon and never came back home the entire day.

Kinyera says: “Ojok for many years has been suffering from Epilepsy.”

Okella Kwoo Walter Lukwiya – the Omoro Town Council LC3 chairperson warned parents with such health complication to keep them carefully.

By Tuesday, the deceased body was taken to Cwero village, Awach sub-county for burial.
