Northern Uganda Awards brand, Northern Ihits Award has unveiled 2018 award categories with entries opening from Monday 22 October 2018.
“The Northern Ihits Award (NIA) has announced a 24 award categories for their first edition,” a statement by NIA reads.
The organizers also announced that entries for the award will commence from Oct 22, 2018 and will run till November 13, 2018 via their website www.northernihits.com.
Below are the categories.
- Artiste of the Year.
- Best Female Artiste of the year.
- Best Male Artiste of the year
- Best song of the year.
- Best hip-hop Artiste of the year.
- Best RNB Artiste of the year.
- Best Dance hall Artiste of the year
- Best Gospel Artiste of the year.
- Best Audio producer of the year.
- Best Music video producer of the year.
- Best Music Promoter of the year.
- Best DJ of the year.
- Best new comer/upcoming Artiste
- Best Center/Central song of the year.
- Traditional Artiste of the year.
- Best collabo of the year.
- Music video of the year.
- Nuhood movie of the year.
- Legendary Artiste of the year.
- Must watch talent/Talent to watch.
- Best South Sudan/Northern Uganda Act/
- Best Song writer.
- Best Dance group.
- Sport personnel of the year
Early last week, Lango Entertainment Award [LEA 2018] also released list of nominees [artistes, musicians, radio personality and songs, among others to be awarded in December.
For the third year running, LEA officials have promised continued annual event, recognizing local talents and promoting local talents to next levels.
Unlike previous years, the 2018 award will see artistes and radio personalities from Teso, Acholi and West Nile regions recognized.
