
A man who was early this year arrested by UPDF on allegation of recruiting Ugandan youth to SPLM-IO, a South Sudan rebel group has died.
His wife, Lucy Opio confirmed his death to TND News Uganda a short while ago.
Ms Opio says the deceased returned home drunk last night and phoned one of the sisters that he was ‘to go on a long journey’
Pastor Opio Jorom died on Friday afternoon from Lira regional referral hospital, few hours after he was admitted.
On Friday afternoon, he was rushed to Lira regional referral hospital in critical condition.

Opio was a strong supporter of NRM party and was common in functions in which president Museveni is attending in Lango.
He served as a soldier under NRA.
