The contract between the two parties start on 1, August 2021 and will last five years.

By the end of 2025, EFOTI predicts Northern Uganda will be the region’s tea hub with modern factory for tea.

Uganda will produce approximately 67kgs of raw silk per day, equivalent to 16MT annually (assuming 250 working days per year)
EFOTI believes that farmers across Acholi sub-region, including West Nile will be able to have enough tea seedlings to meet the [their] current demands.
“We need about 2 acres of land to plant the available tea seedlings which EFOTI has offered to us,” AWRCA’s founder and treasure, Rose Daisy Lanyero told TND News Friday on phone.
