The Rwandan President, Paul Kagame says his country and security forces won’t sit back and see any country aiming to destabilize them.

Mr Kagame urged the newly commissioned officers to protect the sovereignty of the country and promote peace.
“You are given the training and knowledge to protect the sovereignty of our nation, to fight wars and keep Rwandans safe. It is an important responsibility,” he says.
Adding: “Rwandan Defence Forces [RDF] is trained and prepared to fight wars but not to start them with others. But if others make us their problem and choose to start a war with us, that is when we use judgment, determination and training to fight and finish it for them.”
In late January this year, Kagame took charge of the African Union as its Chairperson having been elected to that position by the assembly of African Head of States.
On the day he took office, he says: “Free movement for Africans is achievable in 2018”.
Mr Kagame succeeded President of Guinea, Alpha Conde.
