Otengoro Olang clan’s health minister, Okello Samuel Dulson issued what he described as a comprehensive health advisory aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of all members during the Easter period and after.
In a message, Minister Okello described Easter as a time of “reflection, renewal, and hope. He further urged the community to pair their spiritual celebrations with a practical commitment to public health.
Okello’s 11-point directive covered a broad spectrum of lifestyle and preventive measures designed to combat common health risks during the festive period.
He urged clan members to maintain strict hand washing protocols and utilise insecticide-treated mosquito nets to curb the spread of communicable diseases and malaria.
He also emphasised the importance of food safety, balanced nutrition, and the use of boiled or treated drinking water.
Minister Okello cautioned against excessive alcohol consumption and risky behaviors, calling for “moderation” during social gatherings.
He also dedicated the protection of the clan’s elders, whom he described as the “custodians of our heritage and wisdom.”
He reminded the Otengoro Olang community of their “shared responsibility” to protect one another, particularly the most vulnerable.
“May this Easter season bring renewed strength, good health, and lasting peace to every member of the Otengoro Olang Clan and beyond,” he said last week.
