A section of religious and cultural leaders in Dokolo have urged salary earners to support their elderly relatives before they die with anger.
On Thursday evening, Rev. Capt. Ven. Julius Otuke, the vicar of Dokolo Urban Archdiocionary spoke to tndNews, Uganda and appealed to salary earners and non salary earners to provide all basic requirements to the elderly people especially their parents.
Otuke said most of the elderly people are now suffering without any help from their offsprings after struggling through medications, education and other development purposely to raise the standards of their children.
He further encouraged children to always look after their parents by building a house for them, providing health care, feedings and recruiting someone to look after them.
Lebison Odongo, clan head of Okarowok Otiling, appealed to youth not to forget their parents if they want to receive blessings and seek the Kingdom of God.
