Kole North MP Dr Acuti launches reelection campaign in Aboke town council

Thousands of voters on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, welcomed Dr Samuel Opio Acuti—the incumbent Member of Parliament and NRM flagbearer for Kole North—at the Acoo Training Centre in Imato Ward, Aboke Town Council.

The event marked the official launch of his first campaign rallies, following the Electoral Commission’s declaration on November 10, 2025, for all candidates nationwide to begin official campaigns.

Addressing the crowd, Dr Acuti pledged on his manifesto to build upon his record of transformation, with a specific focus on key sectors.

“I am committed to advancing social economic transformation for everyone in my area,” he stated, listing electricity, agriculture, education, roads, and health as his primary priorities.

The MP took time to appreciate the people of Kole North for the trust they placed in him during the last election. “I am now calling upon every voter to proceed with that same spirit in the forthcoming general election,” Dr Opio said, “so that we can achieve even more under my continued leadership.”

Dr Opio presented a report card of his achievements over the past four years, which he stated represented an investment of over shs15 billion through both government lobbying and personal resources.

His key accomplishments include opening seven vocational training skilling centers, upgrading and rehabilitating roads, and providing support to various churches and schools.

Looking ahead, the MP made several new pledges under his manifesto for his next term. He promised to boost the local community’s access to clean water by providing new pipe water across the constituencies.

He also vowed to work towards a 60% electricity connectivity rate for all households. “I am going to fulfill that pledge because I have the capacity to do so,” he asserted.

He further urged supporters to vote for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for what he termed “a better change.”

On health, Dr Acuti, a medical professional by training, promised to advance the level of local health facilities. “I plan to install more medical equipment in all health facilities to avoid the high risk of death within our communities,” he said.

He revealed that the health sector alone consumed over shs5 billion of his total shs15billion investment.

Dr Acuti urged the electorate to choose a competent leader with a proven track record. “Let us use this opportunity to elect a leader with a true vision that will cater for the entire community, not one who cannot even present their achievements to the people who trusted them with their votes,” he advised.

Additionally, the MP promised to boost education standards by supporting each school that produces a first grade in the 2025 results with shs5 million. He also pledged to provide boxes and mattresses for candidates sitting for the upcoming examinations.

The rally concluded with immense enthusiasm, as over 5,000 supporters welcomed Dr Acuti with open arms, showcasing their unwavering support.

With a strong mandate and renewed energy from his constituents, Dr Acuti is poised to continue his campaign with a focus on continued service and development for Kole North.
