Sunday rain in Lira City disrupts Blacks Power FC match

The match between Blacks Power FC and Buhima Saints was called off on Sunday at UTC Lira, Blacks Power FC’s home ground.

Referee Dick Okello called time on the game in the 23rd minute, with the score still 0-0.

He announced that the game would resume on Monday at 11 a.m.

Buhimba Saint United leads the FUFA Big League table with 45 points, a three-point advantage over Blacks Power FC.

Blacks Power FC is currently in second place with 42 points, having lost ground after consecutive losses to Cavalry FC and Paidha Blacks Angles.

The top teams, including Buhima Saints and Blacks Power FC, are competing for the championship title and promotion to the Uganda Premier League next season.

Paidha Black Angels and Gaddafi FC are also in contention, both with 40 points despite losing points.

On Sunday, May 25, 2025, Paidha lost 1-0 away to Kataka, and Gadaffi lost 3-1 to Busoga United.
