Robinah Nabbanja, Uganda’s prime minister, has emphasized the value of ideological training.
She stated that it aids in mentoring regional and national leaders.
Nabbanja made the remarks on February 2 while lecturing youth and women leaders from Greater Masaka who were attending an ideological empowerment retreat at Sacred Hearts Primary School, Kyamusansala, Kalungu district.
She urged the leaders to embrace patriotism, emphasizing that “the love of the country is enshrined in the Constitution” and that citizens must remain loyal to Uganda to ensure its well-being.

“Uganda is known as the Pearl of Africa because of its beauty and abundant natural resources,” she explained.
She challenged the leaders to put the values and ideals they had learned at the retreat into action.
Maj Gen Henry Masiko, the Joint Staff Political Commissariat, stated that the ideological empowerment program, now in its third year, is consistent with the mandate to foster harmony and understanding between the defence forces and civilians.
The retreat has attracted leaders from ten districts across Greater Masaka.
