Kole NRM party leaders endorse Oteng for LC5 seat

Kole

Kole | Eng. Oteng Moses is the first to publicly express his desire to run for the position of LC5 chairperson for Kole district in the 2026 general elections.

He previously ran for the same seat in 2021 but lost to the current chair, Andrew Moses Awany.

“I am dedicated to uniting the community of Kole district and addressing various challenges through a proactive approach aimed at enhancing service delivery throughout the district,” he said.

Oteng also stated that by prioritising the engagement of Kole youth, he believes they can become valuable contributors today and exceptional leaders in the future if properly nurtured.

During a recent address to journalists at the Bala Town Council, Richard Otim, the Okwerodot sub-county NRM chairperson, thanked Oteng for demonstrating respect by initiating engagement with party leaders.

Otim emphasised the importance of having a visionary leader in Kole district rather than a self-serving one.

He stated that they were ready with their man for the LC5 position and welcomed any other interested parties, stating that their doors are open.

Vicente Ojuka Tabolik, the LC3 chairperson of Bala town council and NRM chairperson for Bala sub-county, praised Oteng for his dedication and energy as a leader.

He insisted that this time, Kole elect an LC5 capable of propelling the district forward.

Nixson Ayo, the NRM chairperson for Akalo town council, sees Oteng as a leader with a vision to take the district to new heights.

“As NRM leaders, we will not support candidates lacking a constructive agenda in the upcoming election.”

Richard Okello, the NRM chairperson of Alito town council, emphasized that no candidate seeking to run should be discouraged by external pressures.

“We must ensure that we do not face embarrassment once the election results are announced.”

The 2026 general elections will start early in the month, with the polling for lower-level local leaders coming last.
