Jinja | Twelve women and 29 youth leaders will receive a 5-day training to further their knowledge on how patriotism, pan-Africanism, democracy and social-economic transformation have scored for the success of the NRM government.

The trainees were flagged off on Monday by Resident District Commissioner of Buyende Maj (Rtd) Betty Akello.

Their ideological training class will be conducted at Wanyange Girls School in Jinja.

This program is going to be run on the theme: “Celebrating the Peoples’ Struggle for Unity, Security and Peace for Social Economic Transformation.”

Participants were drawn from all districts of Busoga sub-region. Facilitators will include officers from the UPDF.

The Buyende RDC called upon participants to exhibit exemplary behaviour throughout their stay, create unity, show teamwork, make new friends and borrow good ideas from other district participants.

She thanked the President and Commander in Chief for his tireless efforts in building ideological clarity among Ugandans.

According to Maj (rtd) Akello, proper ideological orientation will move the country forward with less difficulty and that will lead to lasting social-economic transformation in the long run.

Upon their return, participants are expected to disseminate the acquired knowledge to the community.
