Over 200 graduates from Sai Pali Institute of Technology and Management

Entebbe I Sai Pali – a leading IT institution in Uganda has passed out over 200 students in a graduation ceremony held at its Entebbe Campus on September 22, 2023.

Since its inception in 2013, Sai Pali Institute of Technology and Management has continuously strived to provide exceptional practical IT skills to students, empowering them with the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in their chosen careers.

Sai Pali’s academic journey was inaugurated by First Lady and Education Minister Janet Museveni who the Institute says “shared our vision of nurturing talent and promoting IT excellence”. 

“We later partnered with SWISS AFRICA giving us an international face.”

The courses the institute offers are designed to meet the demands of the “dynamic job market” – among them hardware and networking, graphic design, 2D and 3D animation and web-based applications.

Others are software engineering, mobile application development, information security systems, and linux with practical hands-on.

“Our faculty comprises just the right blend of industry practitioners and academicians. They build in our students a strong foundation as well as critical hands-on experience…” says Sai Pali.

Speaking as the chief guest, State Minister for National Guidance Kabbyanga Godfrey Baluku told graduates that “the sky’s the limit” – adding – “with your indomitable spirit, you have the power to shape the future and make a difference in this world.”

“It is my sincere belief that your determination combined with the exceptional education you have received will lead you to achieve great success and make an indelible impact on the world,” Minister Baluku added.

Amit Srivastava is a director of the institute. “Sai Pali is not just an institute which graduates people, giving diplomas and certificates. We are completely having training which is skills-oriented, and we try to bring out a skilful human resource for Uganda in the IT sector.”

He added: “We have three areas of IT specialisation; one is in software engineering where students learn for two years exclusively how to develop applications with programming languages and coding. Another is IT infrastructure. It talks about networking, server management and all these are at diploma level…”

According to Amit, 95 per cent of students who graduated last week from Sai Pali were already working.
