Nakaseke hosts over 250 Karamoja leaders for an ideological orientation program 

Nakaseke | Over two hundred fifty-four (254) district leaders from the nine districts of Karamoja sub-region will undergo an ideological orientation program this week. 

The program will take place at the Oliver Reginald Tambo Leadership School, Nakaseke District. 

The leaders are LC5 Chairpersons, Mayors, District Speakers, LC3 Chairpersons and councillors.

The selected leaders were flagged off at 3 Infantry Division Headquarters, Moroto army barracks.

While briefing the leaders, Brigadier General Felix Busizoori, the 3 Division Division Deputy Commander acknowledged the involvement of the leaders in pacifying Karamoja sub-region and the relevance of the ideological orientation program.

“I urge you to take this scheduled program seriously as it’s intended to enhance local leadership understanding skills, mindset change, teamwork, conflict management and harmonisation of methods of work,” Brig Gen Busizoori told the travelling leaders.

Busizoori further echoed that the program package is prepared to suit the Karamoja situation and therefore encouraged leaders to take the opportunity to interact with each other.

Leaders are also urged to participate in the discussions and share knowledge that can bring social and economic transformation to the Karamoja sub-region.

Present to flag off the leaders were Col Nelson Ahebwa, the Deputy Chief Political Commissar, Col Sam Ntambirwe, the Deputy Chief Civil-Military Cooperation and Senior Officers of the Division Headquarters, says Major Moses Amuya, Acting Public Information Officer, 3 Division.
