Lira I Lira City woke up to the shocking news of the sudden death of Her Worship, Jamilar Faidha. Until her death, she was a senior Magistrate Grade One at Lira High Court.
Her Worship Jamilar Faidha reportedly died suddenly on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Lira Medical Centre at around 5:30 pm.
Faidha died aged 39. TND News understands that she spent the last hours of her life at her workplace at Lira Court Chambers up to about 5 pm before she left for home.
She collapsed immediately on reaching home and would quickly be rushed to Lira Medical Centre where she was pronounced dead before long.
Abiti said Jamilar had been sick and was undergoing medical treatment for a blood clot. He also eulogized Faidha as “a dedicated and hardworking” magistrate.

The deceased was born in Terego district in West Nile sub-region. She joined the Judiciary in 2022 as a senior Magistrate Grade I and was serving at Lira Chief Magistrates Court.
The Judiciary, in a statement, said their own will be remembered for her “contribution in the administration of justice”.
“We are saddened by her death and extend our condolences to the family, friends and relatives,” reads the statement.
